Another Waterline Boats / Helmsman 38E Seattle Offload


The Waterline Boats / Helmsman Trawlers crew offloaded another 2018 Helmsman Trawlers 38E Pilothouse last Friday!

It was a routine offload – everything went to plan.

The Waterline Boats / Helmsman offload crew arrived by land and water to the Port of Seattle.

– 2018 Helmsman was lowered to the water
– Pulled from the slings
– Brought along side the tow boat
– New owners and crew boarded
– System checked
– Batteries connected
– Engine started
– Helmsman released from tow boat
– Crew and new owners were underway

If you’ve been following the Helmsman Trawlers Blog posts the past few weeks you’ll know what happens next. The Helmsman 38E goes through the Ballard locks then on to our Waterline Boats Docks for commissioning.

– Mast is raised
– Anchor chain/rode attached
– Swim deck installed
– More systems checks
– Canvas covers, bimini constructed & installed
– Electronics installed
– Boat name installed – AmyAnn
– More….
– And so much more….

But the ending of this offload blog is a little different than our past blogs.

Following the completion of commissioning a captains meeting, systems operations training and boat handling training will take place. Then this beautiful Helmsman Trawlers 38E Pilothouse is headed to Bellingham to join the San Juan Yachting charter fleet!

Yes that’s right! You now have the opportunity of chartering the Helmsman 38E Pilothouse yourself.

Captain…Not Admiral!

This Captain doesn’t want to be an Admiral! And yet he is looking forward to moving up……in boat size that is!
Yes sir! This Captain is selling his Helmsman Trawlers 31 Sedan and stepping up to a Helmsman Trawlers 37 Sedan.

His 2016 Helmsman 31 Sedan has been only lightly used, appears almost as new and has a mere 260 hours on the engine.

This model includes many upgrades and additions from the base model:
– hardtop cockpit cover
– bimini top
– flybridge canvas cover
– extended swim platform with safety handrails (staples)
– full SIMRAD navigational electronics package
– new AGM batteries
– fresh bottom paint

The Helmsman 31 Sedan is an update / redesign of the Camano 31 with interior changes that have transformed this little boat into a little yacht. It’s composed of a master stateroom with ample space, good headroom, storage drawers / compartments, and hanging locker. And a full sized bed that even fits standard sheets! Separate head and shower rooms are accessed from the master suite.

The galley is nicely sized with plenty of counter space, a full size under counter fridge / freezer and sizable ss sink. Salon seating converts from bistro table to dining table and even sleeping for two!

Helm seating and companion seating are centrally located and provide for fantastic 360 visibility.
