Port of Seattle – Helmsman 38E Offload


A 2018 Helmsman Trawlers 38E Pilothouse was offloaded at the Port Of Seattle last Tuesday.

Last week our Helmsman Trawlers offload crew and new Helmsman owners headed to the Port of Seattle for an 8am offload. Our tow boat and crew arrived to an unexpected sight…a big yellow boom around the cargo ship, a fuel barge and a refueling in progress! This pushed the 8am offload until some time after noon. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day for crew and company to drift aboard the tow boat on Elliot Bay and shoot the breeze for a few hours.

Once the ship refueling was complete the Helmsman 38E offload happened quickly and deftly. The pilothouse was lowered to the water, the offload crew boarded the Helmsman to connect batteries, check systems and start the engine.

With the engine running and the new Helmsman owners now on board and at the helm at times, the 38E Pilothouse progressed through the locks then on to the Waterline Boats / Helmsman Trawlers docks for commissioning. Electronics…canvas…dinghy…the name…among other things are all being installed per the new owners specifications.

Helmsman 43 Offload – Port of Seattle

A Helmsman Trawlers 43 Pilothouse was offloaded at the Port Of Seattle earlier this week.

Once the 43 was lowered to the water our trusty tow boat pulled the Helmsman from the cradle. When clear of the cargo ship our Waterline Boats / Helmsman Trawlers offload crew boarded the 43 checked systems then started the engine.

The new Helmsman 43 owners boarded to join the offload crew and all were underway heading to the locks and then to the Waterline Boats docks to begin the commissioning process.
