Helmsman Trawlers premiering at the 2017 United States Powerboat Show – Annapolis!

With 450 powerboats being featured at the nations largest in water powerboat show, we feel it’s important to tell you where to find us. Dock D! That’s where we are displaying our Helmsman Trawlers 38E Pilothouse.

Well established on the West Coast of the United States, Helmsman Trawlers is excited to introduce our finely crafted, economical single-engine cruisers to the East Coast. Built to exacting standards Helmsman Trawlers are offered in the practical size range of 43 to 31 feet.

The popular 38 Pilothouse is unique for the “low rise” pilothouse. The pilothouse offers exceptional visibility, maintains open communication with the salon, and is a roomy living area underway or while in port.

The main salon of the 38 Pilothouse is expansive, comfortable, and richly nautical. It is designed for those who want to cruise economically and enjoy the spacious feeling of a much larger boat while still fitting into a 40 foot slip.

The Powerboat Show is located in Annapolis at the City Center Docks. Remember we are at Dock D – with our Helmsman Trawlers 38E!

Helmsman Trawlers Expands to the East Coast!

Well established on the West Coast of the US, Helmsman Trawlers is very excited to announce the broadening of our factory direct buying program to the East Coast.

Not only do we have a Helmsman Trawlers 38E Pilothouse demonstration model on the Chesapeake Bay, but we now have a Helmsman Trawlers office too!

Where are we located? You can find our new office and demo model at Bay Bridge Marina on Kent Island. Just minutes away from Annapolis and Baltimore at 357 Pier One Road Stevensville MD.

We are excited about this growth because our East Coast presence now allows us to showcase the 38E Pilothouse and get more boaters on board to see for themselves the quality and appeal of the Helmsman Trawlers line.

A Happy New Arrival –

It’s a Helmsman Trawlers 31 Sedan!

We offloaded a new Helmsman Trawlers 31 Sedan, with a custom exterior color scheme — San Mateo Wheat hull with red bootstripe — and a customer-specified John Deere engine. After outfitting in Seattle she’ll soon be on her way north with her Canadian buyer.

TrawlerFest Moves to Bremerton – Helmsman Trawlers Will Be There!

Trawler lovers and Helmsman Trawlers fans are only a couple of weeks and a ferry ride away from this year’s TrawlerFest.

After ten years in Anacortes, the Pacific Northwest TrawlerFest boat show and rendezvous moves south this year. Bremerton Marina will be hosting the well-loved event May 16-20.

Trawlerfest is a celebration of cruisers with a focus on trawler-style yachts. In the Pacific Northwest, trawlers have a passionate following because of their comfort, easy handling, their unique styles and their passage making capabilities. This annual event is a chance for trawler lovers to participate in seminars and step aboard the newest cruisers.

PassageMaker, a magazine devoted to boating and organizers of the event, expect 1,500 attendees, 55-70 boats, and 40-50 vendor booths. The move to Bremerton was motivated by the urging of brokers, vendors, and builders to bring the event closer to Seattle. This will hopefully add more convenience for attendees coming from Seattle and southern Washington.

This year we’re bringing a 2017 Helmsman Trawlers 43 Pilothouse to the boat show. We’re proud to have her as a representative model of our Helmsman Trawlers line. We’re excited to see some longtime friends and colleagues. This year we know the new location will be a chance to make new friends as well. Getting together with fellow boat lovers to talk about boats is the best part of what we do.

We look forward to seeing you at TrawlerFest Bremerton 2017. All in all, it’s about trawlers and cruising the waters of the Pacific Northwest.
